Inoa & Inoa Suprême

Inoa & Inoa Suprême

Now updated to ODS²: all the Inoa innovation, but simpler and more flexible than the original.

Inoa (standing for Innovation NO Ammonia) is quite simply a revolution in hair colouring. L'Oréal have managed to banish ammonia completely yet produce a permanent hair dye range with exact and predictable colours and up to 100% coverage of white hair. It works like this:

Instead of ammonia breaking open the cuticle to let the colour in, Inoa uses an innovative oil-based delivery system. The colour molecules in Inoa literally hate oil, but love water. That means that as soon as you apply Inoa to hair, they force themselves inside the hair to get to the water that's there and away from the oil.

The absence of ammonia means no unpleasant odours, better scalp comfort for your clients and great hair condition after treatment. In standard Inoa, there are over 100 shades spread across 9 colour families featuring both naturals and reflects. Inoa Suprême meanwhile has 20 shades of non-lifting colour optimised to cover 70–100% white hair.

The new ODS² Inoa system has got rid of all the hassle of the original 3-part system and now Inoa and Inoa Suprême come in single tubes in a simple colour-+-developer system like other colour ranges. Development time is 30–35 minutes.

N.B. The new Inoa and Inoa Suprême ODS² colours and oxydant are not compatible with original Inoa or Inoa Suprême and the two systems must not be mixed.

Reviews

In comparison with the Detailers it's very close. Blades are the same and power feels similar, both being quite powerful. The wire however is much more substantial and doesn't tangle the same which is a huge plus- the main fault with the detailers. The Hero's are incredibly light and also even smaller than my detailers however the casing bulges out which does get in the way a little bit as a pose to the detailers are the opposite, as they groove in. They look really nice and are overall a great trimmer. If it wasn't for the casing sticking out I couldn't fault them but the wire is a major positive.
