Incredibly durable, super sharp Japanese scissors

The Matellite C, along with its close cousin the Mizutani Pixy, is the entry-level model for Mizutani. Its design is more conventional than many of the higher-end models like the Spring Hopper, but you still get the same unmistakeable Mizutani quality and craftsmanship.

The handles are slightly offset with a grooved finger rest and have an ergonomic design with a middle-finger support halfway down the top side. These features help give you a comfortable and natural grip and a relaxed working position.

The Matellite C is made from the most durable stainless steel in the world (known as "440C" for any metal geeks out there and otherwise used for ball bearings and engine valves). This means that it's made to last and its hollow-ground, razor sharp blades will hold their edge well, so you won't be visiting the sharpener every other week.

On top of all this, it has a glittering, polished finish that means it's great looking too. You also get a raised tension screw that lets you adjust your scissors' tension using only your fingers, making it simple to fine tune them even mid cut.
