These fabulous scissors are made from a mixture of Damascus steel and cobalt in a repeated forging process that creates a metal that's perfect for hair scissors. The multiple layers in Damascus steel help to absorb the vibration caused by the movement of the scissors and create a fantastically soft cutting sensation, while the cobalt lends durability and hardness.

Add to this the ultra-sharp blades, which are hollow ground so that their only point of contact is at the cutting edge, and the result is a scissor which has a sublimely smooth and comfortable cutting feel and which will keep its edge longer than most others.

The overall look is sleek and powerful, with an ergonomic offset handle in a choice of two designs: the NY with its narrow stopper and removable finger rest or the YTK with its wider stopper and curved fixed finger rest. Both will ensure your cutting comfort and that all the power is channelled to tips of the blades. The Alto is suitable for all techniques but works particularly well when you're cutting dry hair.
