Launched in Winter 2011, the Wahl ICON™ is, at its heart, an upgrade and remodel of Wahl's classic Super Taper. It has the same kind of convenient thumb lever for adjusting the taper and the same variation in cutting length (1–3.5 mm) that have helped sell millions of Super Tapers worldwide.

The ICON though features an innovative new motor which gives up to 40% more power while running 18°C cooler than the Super Taper's V5000 motor. It delivers 6,000 strokes per minute and the cooler running gives it superb durability for an extended working life.

The Wahl ICON's case is a smart modern design that's comfortable to hold. It weighs in at 437 grams (23 grams lighter than the Super Taper) which makes it easy to work with and comes with a 3-metre professional-length cord as standard.

Blades are, of course, super-sharp and are chrome plated to help them resist rust. They're fixed to the ICON with a screw.

Accessories include: 8 clipper combs (#1–#8), cleaning brush, oil and a small flat-top comb.
