The Kyoto Swift Thinning Scissors feature short teeth on the top blade as well as 29 conventional thinning teeth on the bottom. The short teeth help uncut hair to flow across the blade rather than being scraped, as they would by the edge of a flat blade. This results in less damage to hair and a natural finish with only 12% of hair being removed in a cut.

The Swift's blades are joined by an adjustable tension screw with a super-smooth, effortless cutting action. They're forged from high carbon stainless steel, giving them durability and helping them stay sharp for longer.

Like the standard scissor, the Kyoto Swift Thinning Scissor has a striking handle design with a squared-off finger ring and a short, fixed finger rest. The offset shape is designed to keep your hand in a comfortable position to minimise fatigue.
