CoolBlades is a wholesaler to the hair and beauty trade and does not sell directly to the general public. All products sold on this website are intended for use by trained hairdressing or beauty professionals who are qualified to use the products being purchased, or by students training to become a qualified professional. By accepting our terms and conditions, you confirm that you are making your purchase for business use by suitably qualified personnel. CoolBlades will not accept liability for injury or damage resulting from the use or misuse of any product purchased from our site whether that use be by trained or untrained personnel. It is your responsibility to ensure that you or your employer has insurance that covers the use of the products you are buying. We reserve the right to ask for proof of professional status and refuse the order if we believe you not to be a trade customer.

1. Placing an order

  • Items selected in the shop will have a default quantity of 1.
  • Press the "Add to basket" button to place your order.
  • When you have finished selecting all your items you'll be able to see the descriptions, pricing and quantities for each before checking out.
  • If you need to amend any selections you will be able to before proceeding to checkout.
  • Confirmation of your order will be sent to you by email.

2. Your right of cancellation

When your order is confirmed by us, a contract is formed between us for the supply of your goods. You may cancel the contract by notifying us no later than 7 working days after we deliver the goods that you are cancelling the contract. Notification must be in writing by either email, fax or letter to the following address:

You may not cancel your contract with us where any manufacturer's seal has been broken. Also, please note that hygiene regulations mean that we cannot accept the return of any scissor, clipper, razor or razor blade (or similar item, this list is not exhaustive) that has been used.

If you cancel the contract, you must take reasonable care of the goods from the time you receive them until you return them to us, you must return the product with its original packaging material in original condition.

If you cancel the contract you must return the goods to us at your own expense, you are also liable for the package's safe return so we suggest a recorded delivery service be used.

If you cancel the contract and do not return the goods as required, we may charge you our direct costs of recovering the goods. If you return goods that are damaged and cannot be re-sold we retain the right to charge for such damage. Refunds will be made to your original payment method, PayPal, credit card or cheque, we will refund your payment as soon as possible and certainly within 30 days of receiving the goods back.

3. Faulty goods

In these terms and conditions, faulty goods means any goods we supply to you that do not conform to the contract.

Faulty goods does not include any goods that are faulty due to fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than in accordance with their intended use, failure to follow the manufacturer's or our instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the prior approval of us or the manufacturer.

You should notify us as soon as possible in the same way as for a returned product if you discover that any goods are faulty goods. Faulty goods will be replaced or repaired according to the manufacturer's instructions providing they are still within the warranty period, this repair or replacement could take up to 21 days.

Goods found to be faulty or damaged on receipt by you may be returned free of charge (UK only) if notified to us within 7 days of receipt. Details of how to do this will be sent to you from our returns department once the faulty item has been registered with us.

If you return goods because you think they are faulty, we may charge you the cost of all transport and our actual costs and expenses in the event that the goods are not in fact faulty goods.

4. Returning Goods

When you return goods to us for any reason (for example because you have cancelled the contract under the Distance Selling Regulations or because you think they are defective goods):

  • You must ensure that they are properly and securely packaged and labelled with our address;
  • You are always responsible for any damage in transit that is due to incorrect or inadequate packaging by you; and
  • You are responsible for any damage or loss in transit where you arrange the transport (rather than using our courier).
  • Any goods sent back to us without prior company approval will not be refunded, replaced or repaired and any costs we incur for this return will be passed onto the customer.

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

5. Images

Images of goods on our website are for illustrative purposes only and may differ slightly from the actual goods.

6. Pricing Structure

Our pricing structure is correct at the times the goods are displayed on the website, however they are subject to alteration without prior notice. Prices are exclusive of VAT and delivery.

7. Payment and Security

Payment must be made prior to the dispatch of all goods unless you are holding a trade account with us. Payment can be made through the secure website online, alternatively customers can call 01253 893091 and pay by credit card on the phone. If cheques or postal orders are sent, the goods ordered will only be dispatched when the funds have cleared normal banking procedures. All goods remain the property of CoolBlades until paid for in full.

CoolBlades uses PayPal as its onsite secure provider, PayPal is one of the world's largest secure providers of Internet based financial transactions. Your order with Coolblades will be totally secure, safe and guaranteed.

9. Cancellations

Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been dispatched. There will be a charge of 5% up to a maximum of £7 for goods returned, to cover re-stocking and credit card fees.
