The Comet is hand forged from Japanese 440C steel to give it the toughness to hold a sharp edge on its fully convex, hollow ground blades. Its 5.5-inch length holds 40 teeth for a cut which removes about 30% of hair. There's also a ratchet tension screw which allows you to make fine adjustments to the tension as necessary.
