If you're at the top of your game, what would you expect from a cordless hair clipper?
Let's say we start with precision blades made from stainless steel and sharpened with diamonds for a fantastically sharp cutting edge. Add to that the ability to set the cut to 3 different lengths (0.5 mm, 1.5 mm and 2.5 mm) and that would give you superbly versatile cutting.
But what about handling? Well you probably already like the freedom and light weight that you get with cordless clippers, but the Xpert tops that with a stylish ergonomic design and a soft touch handle that make it both comfortable and easy to use. Crucially, these design cues also look fantastic and, with its chrome and black colouring, the Xpert will look superb nestled in its charger in any salon.
But I need the confidence of full power, whenever I need it. The Xpert's battery will last up to 100 minutes from a full charge and has a fast charge recharge of 60 minutes if it runs out (3.5 hours for a full recharge). The clipper's body has a segmented LED that shows how much charge is left (each segment is about 12 minutes).
However, should you run out of juice mid-clip, you can simply take the cord from the charger, plug it into the clipper and keep on going. The cord is a salon-sized 2.8 metres, so offers plenty of freedom.
What about accessories? The Wella Xpert comes with 5 attachment combs ranging from 4 mm to 20 mm in cutting length (couple that with the blade length variations and you get 15 different cutting lengths to choose from). Each clipper also comes with cleaning oil and brush.
